Spaceminers: Gold Runner Tournament

1. Specify actions

  • In order to compete the Spaceminers: Gold Runner Tournament player must have their own Cadet and Spaceminers account created at https://spaceminers.xyz/
  • The competition takes the form of a time trial.
  • The aim of the competition is to receive the shortest overall time for the time trial, see Scoring method for more details.
  • The competition ends when the timer shown in the menu interface reaches 00:00:00:00.
  • Player must FINISH their runs before the timer reaches 00:00:00:00 in order for it to be counted on the Tournament Leaderboard.
  • Players are able to make as many attempts as they want of the Gold Runner within the competition time.
  • The Top 5 players on the Tournament Leaderboard will have the right to claim their prizes within 10 working days of the end of the respective competition.
  • Only successful runs receive times on the Tournament Leaderboard. Unsuccessful runs will be marked with “DNF” (Did Not Finish) on the Tournament Leaderboard.
  • A successful run is achieved when the player collects the Gold Nugget inside of the Temple and the time is saved in the Tournament Leaderboard.

2. Scoring method

  • The overall time combines the total time spent running the course, with adjustments based on remaining health points (hp) and enemies defeated.
  • For each 1% of health points (hp), players receive a 0.05 second bonus, deducted from their total time. The maximum hp bonus deduction is 5 seconds.
  • For each enemy defeated, players achieve a deduction of 0.4 seconds from their total time. With a maximum of 25 enemies, the potential bonus time from enemy eliminations is 10 seconds.
  • Let's use an example to explain the scoring system. Imagine you complete a run in 1 minute and 50 seconds, with 100% hp and defeating 5 enemies. Your total Leaderboard time would be 1 minute and 43 seconds. This is calculated by subtracting 5 seconds (100 x 0.05s = 5s) from your hp and another 2 seconds (5 x 0.4s = 2s) for the enemies defeated, resulting in 1 minute and 43 seconds.

3. Rights

  • The Spaceminers team retain the sole and absolute right to shadow ban players at their discretion if they are interpreted to be cheating.
  • The Tournament Leaderboard is considered to represent the absolute and true finishing times of competitors in the competition. Only times recorded on the Tournament Leaderboard will be considered in the allocation of the prizes.
  • In case the game experiences a crash, the player has no right to claim foul play over the loss of the run, either complete or incomplete.

4. How to redeem prizes

  • Only the Top 5 players at the end of the Spaceminers: Gold Runner Tournament will qualify for real gold prizes..
  • At the end of each Spaceminers: Gold Runner Tournament , the Top 5 players will be announced in our Discord and social media channels.
  • We will be reaching out to winning players using their registered email address in order to award the prizes. Please ensure that your registered email is up to date.
  • Prizes will be valid for collection for 10 (ten) working days after the completion of the tournament. Players must have completed the required questions in the Google Survey prior to being able to collect their prizes.
  • Players will receive an email requesting that they submit their Ethereum wallet address via a google form, along with a notice of the exact amount of Digital Gold (DGLD) tokens to be received in their wallet. Only players that are considered tournament winners will receive the form by email.
  • In the form, users must specify both their username, User ID, and corresponding email address for their Spaceminers account.
  • The Spaceminers reserve the right to refuse the distribution of DGLD tokens to tournament winners who do not correctly submit their username and email address in the form.

5. Limitations and Restrictions

  • There will only be one entry per natural person entering into each tournament. Natural persons are not allowed to enter the tournament with more than username. Any natural persons considered to be entering the tournament under multiple usernames will be disqualified from the tournament and both usernames will be shadow banned.
  • Players are able to compete in the tournament under a single username as many times as they want.

6. Expiration and Validity

  • Tournament prizes will be valid for claiming for up to 10 working days after the completion of the tournament.
  • Users that fail to respond to their verified email address will forfeit any claim towards tournament prizes.

7. Reward Value, Conversion and Convertibility

  • Tournament prizes are denominated in DGLD. Any dollar values shown in any location or medium at any time are to be considered indicative and do not represent the true value of the prizes in USD terms.
  • A DGLD token represents a legal claim on 1 Try Oz of physical gold. Therefore, while the total quantity of gold owned via a DGLD token is fixed, the price of gold fluctuates and may represent more or less than the stated USD amount at the time of transfer.
  • Digital Gold (DGLD) tokens are available to send freely by the player once received and can be converted into either USD or EUR directly via Bitstamp exchange
  • Note that The Spaceminers does not guarantee the conversion of DGLD into USD or EUR. Each natural person is required to complete the requisite KYC and AML procedures with Bitstamp exchange in order to be able to sell the DGLD into USD or EUR. The approval or denial of this right is governed solely by Bitstamp exchange and The Spaceminers have no way to influence this.

8. Changes and Updates

  • The Spaceminers reserves the right to modify the reward system, its rules, and values. Any changes will be communicated clearly and transparently.
  • Changes might occur in the Gold Runner course during the tournament due to game balance improvements, technical enhancements, adjustments to economic factors, or other reasons aimed at providing a fair and engaging experience for all players.
  • Players will be notified of any changes to the reward system and any technical changes to the course in advance of their implementation.
  • The company will use Discord to inform players about upcoming changes.
  • Modifications will be accompanied by clear and detailed explanations, outlining the reasons for the changes and how they will impact the reward system
  • Player feedback will be taken into account when making modifications whenever feasible. The company values player input and aims to create a rewarding experience that resonates with the community.
  • The company reserves the right to apply modifications retroactively. Changes may impact rewards earned after the implementation date, regardless of the players' prior accomplishments.

9. Disqualification and Remedies

  • Cheating: Any attempt to gain an unfair advantage, manipulate the game's mechanics, or use unauthorised third-party software to alter gameplay will result in immediate disqualification from the reward programme.
  • Exploitation: Exploiting glitches, bugs, or vulnerabilities in the game to gain unintended rewards or benefits will also lead to disqualification.
  • Fair Play and Integrity: The company is committed to promoting fair play and maintaining the integrity of the game environment. Cheating and exploiting undermine the experience for all players and compromise the fairness of the reward system.
  • Detection Mechanisms: The company employs sophisticated detection mechanisms to identify instances of cheating and exploitation. These mechanisms continuously monitor gameplay patterns and activities to ensure a level playing field.
  • Investigation Process: If suspicious activities are detected, the company will conduct a thorough investigation to validate the findings. This investigation may involve reviewing gameplay logs, analysing data, and considering reports from the player community.
  • Immediate Disqualification: Upon confirmation of cheating or exploitation, the player involved will be immediately disqualified from the reward program. This includes forfeiting any earned rewards and benefits associated with the program.
  • Account Penalties: Depending on the severity of the offence, the company may impose penalties on the player's account, such as temporary or permanent suspensions. This serves as a deterrent and reinforces the importance of fair play.
  • Educational Measures: In cases where cheating or exploitation seems unintentional or due to lack of awareness, the company may use the opportunity to educate the player about the rules and consequences, promoting a healthier gaming environment.
  • Appeals Process: Players who believe they were wrongfully accused of cheating or exploitation will have the right to appeal. The company will review the case and evidence, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution. The company retains absolute authority on the determination of cheating.

10. Consent and Agreement:

Before participating in the Spaceminers: Gold Runner Tournament reward programme associated with Spaceminers, please carefully read and understand the following terms. By participating in the reward programme, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should refrain from participating in the reward program..

  • Eligibility: You confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria to participate in the reward programme as outlined in the official rules.‍
  • Acceptance of Modifications: You acknowledge that The Spaceminers reserves the right to modify the reward program's rules, rewards, and values at its discretion. Any modifications will be communicated transparently, and your continued participation constitutes acceptance of these modifications.‍
  • Fair Play: You agree to participate in the reward program with honesty and integrity, refraining from cheating, exploiting, or engaging in any activity that violates the game's terms of service.‍
  • Disqualification and Penalties: You understand that violations of the reward program rules, including cheating or exploitation, may result in disqualification, forfeiture of rewards, and account penalties as deemed appropriate by The Spaceminers.‍
  • Communication and Notifications: You agree to receive communications, notifications, and updates related to the reward program via in-game messages, emails, official website announcements, and other relevant communication channels.‍
  • Consent to Data Usage: You consent to The Spaceminers collecting and using data related to your participation in the reward program for the purpose of administration, analysis, and improvement of the program.‍
  • Release of Liability: You release The Spaceminers, its affiliates, partners, and employees from any liability arising from your participation in the reward program, including but not limited to any losses, damages, or disputes.‍
  • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes or concerns arising from the reward program will be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution mechanisms outlined in the game's terms of service.
